Netherlands Announces €150 Million Support for Energy-Intensive Industry
On 3 November, the Dutch government announced an additional €150 million for industrial electricity-cost support in 2027. Companies receiving assistance must invest at least 50% of the support in measures such as electrification, energy efficiency and renewable power. Future allocations are planned at €345 million in 2028 and €495 million annually from 2029 through 2035. The programme creates opportunities for industrial equipment suppliers, energy consultants and manufacturers. HPC can support supplier research, industrial investment planning and sustainability assessments.
